All Things Fiber Optic is an independent publication launched in August 2025 by Fiber Fan. My goal is to share the results of my exploration into the world of fiber optic data communications technology, gear, tools, and practices. Think fusion splicers, cleavers, strippers. Think tips and guidance for using fiber in your home or small office (it’s often better and cheaper than pulling Cat 6 cable). You can look forward to “how to” articles as well as gear reviews.
